Nebojša Šavija-Valha

Nebojša Šavija – Valha (1964) is Program Development Manager/Researcher at Nansen Dialogue Centre (NDC) and Artist/Activist/Researcher at Cultural Association Ambrosia,both from Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina BiH).
He holds PhD in Anthropology of Everyday Life. His background also includes university degrees in Philosophy and Sociology and Aircraft Engineering. He has been in a professional military service for eight years. Since 1994 he has been a co-founder and an active member of a number of associations from Sarajevo including Ambrosia, Jazz Fest, Album, NDC, Atelier for Philosophy, Social Sciences and Psychoanalysis and Peace Academy Foundation. Recent fields of academic, practical, artistic, and professional interest include: anthropology of everyday life, identity building, ethnic, religious and political relations in BiH, epistemology philosophy, contemporary arts, culture, and civil society.
He is an author of two books and he published more then 30 articles from the abovementioned fields in BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Germany, Norway, Great Britain and USA.
He has been an active participant in more than 30 international academic, civic and cultural manifestations: seminars, courses, conferences, round tables, festivals as a moderator, lecturer, contributor as well as an artist.
